Meighan Named Defensive Player of the Week, Yilanjian to the Honor Roll

Haddonfield, N.J.- The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Lacrosse weekly award winners on Monday with Avery Meighan being named defensive player of the week and Natalie Yilanjian was added to the weekly honor roll.

Meighan helped Marywood on both sides of the field during a 21-14 win at Marymount. Defensively, she produced 12 draw controls, 10 ground balls, and four caused turnovers. She also contributed eight points on four goals and four assists. Her 10 ground balls — her second time reaching double figures this season — were tied for the second-most by any Atlantic East player this season. Her 12 draw controls were a season high.

Yilanjian led Marywood to a 21-14 win over Marymount with a team-high six goals. She added one assist for a seven-point effort to secure the No. 2 seed. Yilanjian added three draw controls and a caused turnover. 

The Pacers host Centenary University in their regular season finale on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
