Men's Track and Field Finishes as Atlantic East Runner-Ups

Marywood wins seven events

East Whiteland Twp., Pa.- Marywood University finished as Atlantic East Conference Men's Track & Field runners-up this weekend.

Marymount secured the team title with 188 points, narrowly edging the Pacers, who finished just two points behind at 186. Immaculata took third place with 77 points, while Gwynedd Mercy, Saint Elizabeth, and Neumann rounded out the standings in fourth through sixth, respectively.

Marywood recorded seven gold medal finishes.

Senior Joseph Cardillo claimed three individual titles, winning the 1500 (4:17.52), the 5,000 (16:03.93), and the 10,000 (33:33.75). Cardillo set an Atlantic East Conference Championships record in the 10K.

AJ Rosenfeld led the way in the javelin, winning the event with a throw of 153 feet (46.63m), a mark that ranks fifth all-time in the program's record book. He also added a third-place finish in the 3,000 steeplechase (11:07.05).

Daniel Lauersen secured first place in the pole vault, clearing 9 feet, 6.25 inches (2.9m).

Raidan Francis captured the 800m title in 2:03.01 and added a pair of third-place finishes in the 5,000m and 10,000m. He finished second in the 1,500m.

Ethan Williams rounded out the individual champions with a victory in the 3,000m steeplechase, clocking in at 10:52.03.

Marywood's 4x100 relay team of Cyrus Holland, Kunda Ngoy, Bobby Russo, and Shilo Bivins earned a runner-up finish in 44.60 seconds. Bivins also took second in the high jump (5-11.5, 1.82m).

Zach Hoover added another silver medal in the shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 6.5 inches (12.05m).
