Thomas' 16th Win Leads Marywood to Split

Match Results

Moosic, Pa. – Marywood's men golf split today's tri-match against The University of Scranton and King's College. The Pacers (+36) fell short to the Royals (+30) by just six strokes but was able to overcome the Monarchs (+48).

Scranton won the event with a 314 team score. Marywood followed with a 320 and King's finished with a 332.
 
Michael Thomas lead the Pacers, securing his 16th individual victory by five strokes with a 71 (E). The University of Scranton's Erik Ridley took second place shooting a 76 (+5). His teammate Michael Boland tied for third with Bill Dombroski of King's, as both finishing the day with a 78 (+7). There was a three-way tie for fifth that included Marywood's Nicholas Biondi (80).
 
Other top finishers for the Pacers were James Tressler who placed in eighth, ending his day with an 83 (+12). Marywood's Austin Zehel also found himself in a three-way tie for twelfth with an 86 (+15).
 
Marywood looks to prepare for the upcoming Colonial State Athletic Conference Championships as they complete in the Glennmaura National College Invitational Sunday and Monday.
