Men's Golf Starts Fall Season with a Tri-Match Victory

Moosic, Pa. – The Marywood University men's golf team started its fall season with a convincing tri-match victory over King's College and Misericordia University. Marywood finished with four players in the Top 10 at the Glenmaura National Golf Course.
 
The Pacers finished with a team score of 350, finishing ten strokes ahead of King's (359). Misericordia finished with a team score of 408 (+124), behind both Marywood and King's.
 
Individually, Marywood's James Tressler took the top spot with an 81 (+10) on the day. He finished two strokes ahead of the second-place finisher, Misericordia's Johnny Plouffe (83). The Pacers' Joseph Weber and King's Matt Havrilla ended their day tied for third shooting an 84 (+13).
 
Other top finishers for the Pacers were Austin Zehel, who shot a 90 (+19). Zehel was tied for sixth with King's Justin McMillan. Brendan Murphy, of Marywood, finished in eighth place with a score of 95 (+24).
 
Marywood is traveling to Stonehedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock, Pa. to face Keystone College on Friday at 1:30 pm.
