Men's Golf Victorious Over Clarks Summit

Tunkhannock, Pa. - Landon Firmstone's round of 84 led all scorers as Marywood University men's golf defeated Clarks Summit University 343-420 at Stonehedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock Tuesday afternoon.

The Pacers improved to 3-2 in dual matches with the win.

Firmstone was followed by teammates Colin Virkitis and Ben Williams, who each shot rounds of 86 to tie for second. Luke Flederbach's 87 and Matt Lombardi's 92 put all five Pacers in the top five on the day.

Clarks Summit was led by Jack Dunham's 93.

Marywood hosts the Gino Biondi Memorial Tournament this Saturday and Sunday at Glenmaura National in Moosic. Other participating teams are The University of Scranton, New Jersey City University, Neumann University, Franklin & Marshall College and Swarthmore College. First round action gets underway at 10:30 am Saturday morning.
