Five Pacers Selected to All-Atlantic East Second Team

Lancaster, Pa. - Marywood University had five student-athletes named to the All-Atlantic East Second Team in men's lacrosse, officials announced Tuesday in its postseason awards announcement. Zach Vaughan, Jeff Johnsen, Patrick Dingwell, Joseph Guida and Connor Reed were picked to the Second Team. 

Vaughan, a fifth-year attack, led the Pacers in goals, assists, points, ground balls and caused turnovers. Vaughan scored 25 goals and 10 assists for 35 points. He had 64 ground balls and caused nine turnovers. In the Atlantic East, Vaughan ranked fifth in goals, seventh in points, fourth in shots and fourth in ground balls. It marks his second appearance on the All-Atlantic East Second Team. 

Johnsen, a senior midfielder, provided 20 goals and eight assists for 28 points. He added 22 ground balls and tied for the team lead with nine caused turnovers. 

Dingwell, a senior midfielder, averaged two goals per game with 18. He added six assists for 24 points. Dingwell supplied 25 ground balls and three caused turnovers. 

Guida, a senior defender, registered 23 ground balls with nine caused turnovers. It marks his second appearance on the All-Atlantic East Second Team.

Reed, a junior goalkeeper, ranked third in the Atlantic East with 14.3 saves per game. He sported an 11.99 goals-against average and a .546 save percentage. 

Cabrini earned three major awards, as Matt LoParo grabbed Player of the Year, Tommy DeLuca earned Defensive Player of the Year while Max Drift was awarded Rookie of the Year. Neumann University was awarded Coaching Staff of the Year after posting a 6-4 overall record this season.
