Men's Golf Goes 2-1 at Scranton Quad-Match

Moosic, Pa. - Marywood University men's golf shot a 318 and finished second of four teams Thursday afternoon at The University of Scranton's quad-match. The Royals shot a 311 to win while Wilkes (341) and Misericordia (368) finished third and fourth, respectively.

Paul Appolt finished second overall, shooting a four-over-par round of 75. Danny Harding from The University of Scranton was the medalist, finishing one stroke ahead of Appolt, who tied with WIlkes' Cole Jungwirth.

Francesco Pazzaglia and four others finished seven-over-par with rounds of 78 to tie for fourth. Colin Virkitis was ninth after a round of 79 for the Pacers.

Connor Kelleher's 86 rounded out the team scoring for the Pacers, while Luke Flederbach shot a 97.

Marywood hosts the annual Gino Biondi Memorial Tournament October 15-16 at Glenmaura.
