Streak Continues with 3-1 Victory Over Ithaca in Overwatch Series

Scranton,Pa. - Marywood University continued its winning streak with a sound 3-1 win over Ithaca College this Thursday in an Overwatch Series.

Within the first round Marywood was able to dominate the opposing team, with an astounding amount of synergy from the team. Tank David Vito (@cannedsteam) continues to be a force to be dealt with, as his master over his off tank position continues to stall and suppress every opponent thus far.

The second round sees the trio of Nicholas Mendez (@tomatotony), Justin Mantilla (@jayc), and Steven Espana-Arias (@twemicrobee) apply hefty pressure to Ithaca, nearly pushing their team back into spawn and breaking their defenses as the round went on. During the later half, Vito was able to secure the win with a final play that halted the opposition.

During the third round, Ithaca put up a fight with their solid defense and quick recovery time, taking advantages of Marywoods conformability. They continue this momentum during the later half of the round, breaking Marywoods defense in order to secure a victory for the third round.

With the start of the fourth round Marywood goes on the offensive, choosing an aggressive play style to quickly overtake Ithaca. Vito and Espana-Arias keep up an near constant assault, with Mendez and Support Cameron Gorman (@longtreeman) keeping them protected. During the second half of the round, Marywood shuts out their adversaries and closes out the match with the final win.
