Men's Golf Defeats PSU-Harrisburg, Clarks Summit

Tunkhannock, Pa. - Marywood University men's golf shot a team score of 327 to defeat Penn State Harrisburg and Clarks Summit University Monday afternoon in a tri-match at Stone Hedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock.

Paul Appolt led the Pacers, finishing one stroke behind the medalist with a round of 78.

PSU-Harrisburg finished with a 337, while Clarks Summit shot a 414.

Josh Africa from Penn State Harrisburg had the low round on the day with a six-over-par 77. Appolt finished one stroke behind for a second place finish.

Matthew Redman (PSU-H) and Colin Virkitis tied for third with rounds of 81, while Andrew Kazmierczak (CSU) shot an 82 along with Connor Kelleher to tie for fifth.

Ben Williams shot an 88 (+17) to round out the team scoring for the Pacers while Jake Ciullo shot a 104 (+33).

Marywood hosts Wilkes, Scranton and Misericordia in a quad-match on October 4 at Glenmaura.
