Men's Track and Field Finishes Second at Misericordia; WomenTake Third

Dallas, Pa. — Marywood University men's track and field finished in second place at the Misericordia Twilight Invitational this weekend. The Pacers women's track and field team were third place.

Marywood finished with 147 and 104 points in the men's and women's standings, respectively.

Nolan Kozera finished in first place in the 100 dash in 11.19 seconds. He ranked fourth all-time in school history. Kozera was also second place in the 200 dash in 22.97 seconds.

KC Nwokedi had the third-best shot put distance in Pacers' history. He placed fourth with a throw of 40 feet, 5 inches (12.32m). Will Kalinish was second place in the javelin at 158 feet, 7 inches (48.33m) and fifth place in the shot put at 39 feet, 1 1/4 inches (11.92m).

Tucker Indikovic came in second place in the long jump with a distance of 20 feet, 5 1/4 inches (6.23m). His mark ranks fifth all-time at Marywood. Indikovic was fifth in the triple jump at 37 feet, 5 3/4 inches (11.42m).

Raidan Francis raced to a first-place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:01.03. Thomas Lee, Jakob Seamans and Jack Baronski took the fourth through six places.

Baronski won the 5K in 16:40.84. Ian Kovatch and Francis rounded out the top three spots.

Thomas Lee was second place in the 400 hurdles at 1:14.09. John Russo was fifth in the 400 in 56.03 seconds.

The Pacers' 400 relay of Matt Custer, Kozera, Russo and CJ Shygelski finished first in 45.62 seconds.

Marywood Women Take Four Firsts

Lany Straub won a pair of events to lead the Pacers to a third-place finish in the team standings. Straub won the 3K Steeplechase in a time of 12:05.3. She raced to a 1:25.2 win in the 400 hurdles. Gabby Snee was fifth and third, respectively, in the two events.

Kaitlyn Newberry clocked in at 47:41.07 to finish first in the 10K. Zoe Badner was second in 48:50.4.

Emma Wagner garnered first place in the 100 hurdles in 20.72 seconds. Maddie Gentile was second in the 5K in 20:38.75.

Abby Megotz came in third place in the 100 dash in 13.65 seconds. She was fourth place in the 200 dash in 27.66 seconds.

Hayley Gaines was fifth in the 400 in 1:07.96.

Marywood's 400 relay team of Gaines, Jocelyn Dames, Marissa Martin and Megotz were second place in a time of 4:30.9.

Marissa Martin came in fourth place in the triple jump with a mark of 29 feet, 8 1/4 inches (9.05m). Daelyn Karboski was fifth in the long jump at 14 feet, 3 1/4 inches (4.35m).
