Colorado Springs, Colo. — A pair of Marywood University student-athletes were selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-Region Team, officials announced. It is the third consecutive season in Marywood history that two field hockey student-athletes received the honor.
Dariane Jones was selected to the NFHCA Region IV Second Team for the second straight season. Liv Rosengrant joined her with Second Team honors.
Both Pacers are graduates of nearby Lackawanna Trail High School.
Jones was the Atlantic East Player of the Year with 15 goals and six assists for 36 points. As the Atlantic East Tournament Most Valuable Player, she completed her career with 46 goals, 28 assists and 120 points. Jones had six game-winning goals.
Rosengrant earned her first career All-Region honors. She had six defensive saves on the season, tying for 27th in the nation. Rosengrant led the Pacers to six shutouts this season as a back.
Jones joins Lauren Wynne and Cydney Lahr as the only two in field hockey program history to capture two all-Region awards.
There have been 15 all-region awardees in program history.
Marywood won its second consecutive and third overall Atlantic East Conference championship and NCAA Division III tournament berth this season.
