Men's Swimming Third After First Relays

St. Mary's City, Md. — Marywood University men's swimming stands in third place after the opening day of Atlantic East Conference competition. The women are in sixth place heading into the second day of competition.

The 200 medley relay of Alex McCarey, Nathan Grosvenor, Alex Corcoran and Aaron Purdy finished in third. The foursome dropped 5.36 seconds off their seed time for a 1:47.73. 

The same group also came in third in the 800 free relay, touching the wall in 8:01.62. 

On the women's side, the 200 medley relay came in third in a time of 1:57.53. Tori Sills, Aubrey Mangan, Sam Pack and Molly Englehardt dropped 1.49 seconds. 

The women's 800 free relay was disqualified for a false start. 

Competition resumes Friday morning.
