Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

Richmond, Va. –  Marywood Universtiy men's and women's swimming teams were selected as The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams, officials announced Monday. The CSCAA announced the selection of 781 teams from 459 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2024-25 semester. These teams, representing a total of 19,209 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester. 

The Men's team posted a 3.58 Fall GPA, while the Women's team had a 3.55 Fall GPA. 

This is the fourth time the Men's Swimming and Diving team was selected as Scholar All-America. 

The Women's Swimming and Diving team claims their fifth honor.

To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Fall 2024 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 654 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above.

Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, praised the outstanding achievements, stating, "The commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by these teams is truly admirable. It is inspiring to see student-athletes excel both in the pool and in the classroom. The CSCAA takes great pride in honoring and celebrating their dedication and achievements."
