Straub Breaks 10K at Bucknell

Cardillo runs second-fastest 10K time in school history

Lewisburg, Pa. — Marywood University senior Lany Straub broke a nine-year 5K record to leave the track and field teams at the Bucknell Open this weekend.

Straub was 98th place at the 5K run invite with a time of 17:53.99. Her time beat Emma Doughman's 2016 by 6.21 seconds.

Abby Megotz came in 77th in the 400 dash at 1:01.32. She ran a wind-assisted 200 dash time of 26.67 seconds.

Joseph Cardillo ran the second-fastest 10K time with a 31:58.42 for 29th place overall.

Brandon Reed ran in 59th place with a wind-assisted time of 11.16 seconds. Nolan Kozera followed in 11.36 seconds.

John Russo ran a 2:11.3 in the 800.

Jack Baronski was 48th place in the 1500. Baronski completed the race in 3:55.87.

Wil Canney took 36th place in the 5K in 16:07.27.

Reed measured a 20 feet, 4 1/2 inch (6.21m) long jump for 28th place. KC Nwokedi earned 38th in the shot put in 39 feet, 10 3/4 inches (12.16m).

Marywood competes at Moravian University on Friday.
