Men's Lacrosse Doubles Up Griffins

Luke Ament wins 14 ground balls and 16 faceoffs

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University men's lacrosse posted a 10-5 victory over Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday. The Pacers even their overall and conference records to 8-8, 2-2.

After trailing by one goal, the Pacers scored six straight goals to close out the first half.

Dillon Kane led the Pacers with two goals and two assists for four points. Kane had four ground balls.

On the faceoff-x, Luke Ament won 16 of 19 faceoffs with 14 ground balls.

John Scibello produced a goal and two assists for three points along with four ground balls. Ben Peters had a goal and an assist.

Shaun Howey and Ben Meighan tallied two goals. Colin Trainor stopped nine shots to ensure the victory.

Dalton Gerver caused four turnovers.

Gwynedd Mercy's Josh Devine had a hat trick.

Marywood out-shot the Griffins 42-29. The Pacers had a 49-25 advantage in ground balls.

Tbe Pacers host Neumann University on Wednesday, April 23. Marywood secured a spot in the Atlantic East Conference playoffs.
