Cardillo Breaks 10K Record at Widener

Chester, Pa. — Marywood University senior Joseph Cardillo broke the Marywood University's outdoor men's track and field record in the 10K at Widener University's Danny Curran Invitational. 

Cardillo ran the 10,000-meter race in 31 minutes, 33 seconds for 11th place overall. He broke Bryce Ryder's record by 11 seconds. 

Raidan Francis followed in 38th place in 33:45, and Jacob Walsh had a 35:28.66. 

AJ Rosenfeld finished in 16th place in the men's 3K steeplechase with a time of 11:34.72. 

Marywood's sprinters Daniel Matyjaszek and Cyrus Holland came in 56th and 58th places, respectively in the 100 dash. They ran times of 11.5 and 11.51 seconds. 

Josh Schriver measured a shot put at 36 feet, 2 3/4 inches (11.04m) for 52nd place. Zach Hoover came in 55th place with a throw of 35 feet, 8 inches (10.87m). 

Marywood competes at York College of Pennsylvania on Wednesday.
