Swimming vs. Cabrini Results
Diving vs. Scranton Results

Scranton, Pa. - The Marywood University women's swimming team picked up its first win of the season as the Pacers split against Cabrini University on Sunday in a nonconference meet. The Pacers' divers also competed in a non-scoring matchup against Landmark rival The University of Scranton.

The Pacers' women downed the Cavaliers 140-55 to notch their first tally in the win column. The men's swim fell to Cabrini in a very close 103-96 contest.

The women's team swept the top three spots in two events. Virginia Cobb, Andrea Pannoni and Chloe Wiggins took the top three spots in the 200 yard free, respectively. In the 50 Free, Mary Cate Coyle, Sam Truter and Courtney Paulus were the first three finishers.

Marywood won 10 of the 12 events, and seven different individual swimmers were victorious.

The Pacers' men scored five individual wins and a relay victory. A 400 medley relay, that included Jared Lubarsky, Nicholas Dubinski, Michael Freeman and Blake Burlingame; engineered a 3:51.75 finish.

Burlingame swept the sprint races. He won the 50 free in 22.27 seconds. He capped his afternoon by winning the 100 free by one-tenth of a second in 49.85 seconds.

Freeman and Wes Yancey finished within just eight-hundredths of each other to take first and second, respectfully, in the 100 butterfly. Dubinski continued his success in the 100 breast taking first place with a 1:04.25, winning the race by over eight seconds. Lubarsky outstretched a pair of Cavaliers to earn first in the 100 back in 1:00.73.

Marywood's divers were also in action today against the Royals. Courtney Snyder took the top spot in both the 1- and 3-meter dives. She scored a 212.03 on the short springboard, topping Scranton's Mackenzie Morrett. In the 3-meter dive, Snyder topped Annie Gormley with a 230.47.
