Softball Outscores Opposition 31-0 on Day Two of Florida Trip

Marywood beats PSU New Kensignton 16-0, North Central 15-0, both in 5 innings

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Clermont, Fla. - Marywood University softball outscored their opponents 31-0 in two five inning victories Tuesday in Florida. The Pacers (3-1) took down Penn State New Kensington 16-0 and North Central University 15-0.

In the 16-0 morning win over the Lions, Gianna Marsico improved to 2-0, allowing just three hits over the five-inning victory. Kaitlyn Epler was 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored, while Hailey Rapisardi was 2-for-2 with a double and four RBI.

Junior transfer Katelyn Weller (1-0) earned her first victory at Marywood on the mound in game two, striking out two and allowing two hits in four innings of work. Cait Becher pitched the final inning, striking out one.

Rapisardi had another strong game at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBI. Kary Gillette had a triple and an RBI in the win.

In total, Rapisardi was 4-for-4 with six RBI on the day.

Marywood is back on the diamond Thursday when they take on Ursinus College at 11:30 am and Lakeland University at 1:45 pm.
