Little Named Atlantic East Rookie of the Year; Seven Named All-Conference

Haddonfield, N.J. — Marywood University freshman Amber Little was selected the Atlantic East Conference's Softball Rookie of the Year, officials announced Thursday. Little becomes the fifth straight Marywood student-athlete to earn the conference's top rookie award. 

Marywood placed seven players on the Atlantic East All-Conference teams. Third baseman Tori Para, outfielder Riley Marshall, second baseman Kat Davis and designated player Little were selected First Team. First baseman Lauryn Notari, shortstop Marley Sarafinko and pitcher Brianna Voyer earned Second Team honors. 

Little batted .420, ninth best in the conference. She had a .437 on base percentage, tallying 34 hits through 81 at bats, scoring 15 runs and providing 23 RBI's. Her slugging mark was .642, top five in the conference. The freshman pitched 8.0 innings as well, giving up 12 total hits and striking out three batters. 

Para hit .461 on the season with a 1.236 OPS. She ranks 17th in NCAA Division III with 0.49 doubles per game, leading the Atlantic East with 29 two-baggers. Para led the Atlantic East with a .540 OBP and 45 RBIs. 

Marshall had a team-high four home runs. She drove in 19 RBIs and produced a .541 slugging percentage. The center fielder had a .957 fielding percentage with seven outfield assists. 

Davis is one of 25 NCAA Division III players to lead the country with a perfect stolen base percentage. Only 12 players in the country had more than Davis' 24 stolen bases without getting caught. Davis was third in the Atlantic East with 53 hits this season. Davis batted .393 with 31 runs and 18 RBIs. 

Notari assumed the first base position this spring with career-best results. She hit .384 with a .998 OPS. Notari hit 13 doubles and drove in 28 RBIs. Notari had a .981 fielding percentage and fielded nine double plays. 

Sarafinko scored a team-high 35 runs with a .353 batting average and 26 RBIs. She was perfect on 15 stolen base attempts. Sarafinko ranked second in NCAA Division III with seven sacrifice flies. Sarafinko ranked first in the conference with 2.51 assists per game. 

Voyer earned an all-conference selection with a 9-5 record. She had a 3.69 ERA with 11 complete games. In 91 innings, she struck out 40 batters with a 1.85 WHIP.
