Baronski Takes Third Runner of the Week Awards; Gaines to Honor Roll

Lancaster, Pa. — Marywood University freshman Jack Baronski collected his third Atlantic East Conference Runner of the Week award in men's cross country. Sophomore Hayley Gaines was named to the Atlantic East Weekly Honor Roll.

Baronski was the second-fastest Division III competitor at the Dickinson Short Course. He placed eighth overall with a 4K time of 12:50. Baronski broke the Marywood school record by 20 seconds and dropped 56 seconds off of his previous best. The Peckville, Pa. native helped Marywood to a fourth place finish out of 19 teams.

Running in the first 6K of her collegiate career, Gaines was Marywood's top finisher at the Dickinson Long Course on Saturday. The Madison, Wisc. native completed the course in 26:39 to take 53rd place. Gaines helped Marywood to a 14th place finish out of 19 teams

Marywood heads to Lehigh University to compete at the Paul Short Invitational on Friday.
