Cardillo Named USTFCCCA All Mid-Atlantic Region for Third Time

New Orleans  — Marywood University men's cross country senior Joseph Cardillo was selected to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Mid Atlantic Region for the third time in his career.

Athletes earned All-Region distinction by virtue of a top-35 finish at one of the ten regional sites this past weekend. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions are eligible for awards.

Cardillo finished in 32nd place at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Championships in November. He completed the 8K race in 26:13.1.

Cardillo was the runner-up at the Atlantic East Championships. He ran the course in 28:33.4 to lead the Pacers to their eighth consecutive conference title.

The Dunmore, Pa. native previously was named All-Mid Atlantic Region in 2023 and 2024. He was named First Team All-Atlantic East four times throughout his men's cross country career.

It marks the eighth consecutive season Marywood has had a men's cross country runner receive USTFCCCA All-Region status.

Cardillo earned the men's country program's 19th all-region laurel — all won within the past eight seasons. He joins David Haines, Jack Baronski and Bryce Ryder as three-time all-region winners.

Throughout Marywood athletics history, Cardillo is one of nine student-athletes to have won three all-region career awards.
