Men's Cross Country Wins Eighth Overall, Seventh Atlantic East Title in a Row

Bryce Ryder wins Atlantic East individual championship

Milton, N.Y. - Marywood University continued its run of dominance, capturing a seventh straight Atlantic East Conference Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday, finishing with a perfect score of 15 points for the fourth year in a row.

Immaculata was second with 61 points, followed by Pratt in third with 92 points. Neumann took fourth at 107, and Centenary finished fifth at 117. The field was rounded out by Saint Elizabeth, finishing sixth with 151 points.

Bryce Ryder was the individual champion with a 28:25.7 run, averaging a mile pace of 5:32.2 on the 8K course. 

Marywood had the top seven spots in the field. All seven Pacers earned first team All-Conference.

Joseph Cardillo recorded back-to-back second place finishes with a time of 28:33.4. Jakob Seamans was in third place in 28:46.1.

Freshman Ethan Williams came in fourth place with a 28:53.9. James Modrovsky earned fifth place in 29:05.4.

Raidan Francis crossed the finish in 29:13.3 for sixth, and Jacob Walsh was 29:28.4 in seventh. 

Sneaking into a Second Team All-Atlantic East spot was Brody Graff in 13th place. Graff came in 31:38.7.

The second team All-Conference was made up of runners who finished eighth to 14th. Eighth place, and the final runner under the 30 minute mark, went to Conner Brennan of Gwynedd Mercy at 29:35.5, followed by Jodi Connor Kakowski of Immaculata in ninth at 30:04.1. Neumann's Bryan Castro was tenth at 31:16.3, with Sebastian DeSimone of Gwynedd Mercy in 11th at 31:21.7, Marymount's Henry Brys (31:22.2) in 12th, and Jimmy Lauer of Immaculata (32:00.0) finishing 14th. 

The Atlantic East Elite Scholar Athlete Award went to Immaculata's Kendall Budlow, who boasts a 3.97 GPA as a Business Sports Management sophomore.

Programs will now shift gears to preparations for NCAA Regional meets, taking place in two weeks.
