Pacers welcome Valiants at 1 p.m. on Saturday

Scranton, Pa. – Third-ranked Marywood University begins the 2022 Atlantic East Conference field hockey playoffs with a matchup against No. 6 Manhattanville College on Saturday at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed on the Atlantic East Conference Network.

The Pacers (5-11, 3-3) earned a home date in the Atlantic East first round against these very Valiants. Marywood defeated Manhattanville 5-0 on the road on Saturday, Oct. 22.

Marywood is coming off of a 4-1 loss to Susquehanna University, the second seed in the Landmark Conference playoffs, to conclude the regular season. Marywood ranks second in the conference with 131 penalty corners.

Manhattanville (4-11, 1-5) competes in the Atlantic East Conference playoffs for the first time since joining as an affiliate member in field hockey. The Valiants' 4-2 win over Neumann University was enough to get them into the postseason. Manhattanville was shut out 6-0 to Gwynedd Mercy University Tuesday in its season finale.
