Colorado Springs, Colo. — Marywood University placed 15 student-athletes on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad, officials announced Wednesday. The Pacers now have 182 total recipients in the award's history.
Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
Phaedra Day, Sabrina Frazer, Hanna Gardner, Cecelia Good, Dariane Jones, Breanna Landers, Pyper Lechleitner, Tori LoMonaco, Bre Marchianno, Addison Marcin, Amelia Nive, Ava Peterson, Jordan Saybe, Olivia Seidel and Emma Toth received the distinction for the Pacers.
It marks the 10th consecutive season that Marywood has registered at least 12 student-athletes on the National Academic Squad. It is the sixth time Marywood has produced 15 or more awardees.
Impressively, Marywood had two of the 260 honorees that earned this distinction for the fourth consecutive year. Seniors Phaedra Day and Dariane Jones earned it all four years of their career.
