Niven Named NFHCA National Scholar of Distinction, Field Hockey Earns National Academic Team Award

Colorado Springs, Colo. -- Marywood University was recognized as a National Field Hockey Coaches Associations (NFHCA) National Academic Team, announced Monday. Amelia Niven was named a NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.

Niven was recognized as a Scholar of Distinction who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.90 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) through the first semester of the current academic year.

The National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.50 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.

The Pacers ended the season 11-10 with a trip to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
