Eight Pacers Selected CSC Academic All-District At-Large

Scranton, Pa — Marywood University placed eight student-athletes to the College Sports Communicators, formally known as CoSIDA, Academic All-District At-Large Team for their efforts in the classroom announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 21 (men) and June 22 (women).

On the men's side, Matt Manna, Kieran Scanlan, Paul Appolt, and Eddie McGreevy were chosen to represent Marywood University. While Alaina Brenneman, Rachel Yohn, Corrin Hasty, and Lauren Youngken represented the women's side.

Manna, a junior on the men's lacrosse team, is a Pre-Physician's Assistant major. He is a two time Atlantic East Academic Honor Roll awardee. Manna finished the season with 19 points on 12 goals and seven assists.

Scanlan, a junior Athletic Training major on the men's lacrosse team, joins his teammate on the CSC Academic Team. Scanlan landed on the Atlantic East Academic Honor Roll all three years of his career. He tallied 11 goals and one assist on the 2023 season.

Appolt is a senior Biotechnology major. He finished the 2022-2023 season First Team All-Atlantic East, Atlantic East Golfer of the Week (9/27, 10/11, 10/16, 4/4, 4/18), and was voted the team's MVP.

McGreevy is a Pre-Physician's Assistant major and participates in men's golf and men's tennis. In golf, McGreevy was First Team All-Atlantic East. In Tennis, he was voted team MVP and finished Second Team All-Atlantic East Conference (singles). McGreevy was also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Brenneman is a graduate student in the CSD Speech Language Pathology program and a member of the women's lacrosse team. She was voted team MVP and finished First Team All-Atlantic East. She is a two time Atlantic East Academic Honor Roll awardee and two time IWLCA Academic Honor Roll member. Brenneman finished her career with 38 goals and 23 assists.

Yohn, a junior goalkeeper for the field hockey team, is a Medical Laboratory Science major. Yohn is a three time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction member and a three time member of the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. She finished First Team All-Atlantic East and was the Atlantic East Defensive Player of the Week (10/10).

Hasty is a sophomore Criminal Justice major and a member of the field hockey team. Hasty is a two time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and was a two time member of the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. She was named First Team All-Atlantic East twice.

Youngken is a Pre-Physician Assistant studies major and is a member of the field hockey team. She is a two time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and a two time member of the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. Youngken was named First Team All-Atlantic East twice.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
