Baronski Repeats as Atlantic East Runner of the Year

Marywood sweeps Atlantic East First Team for second straight season

Lancaster, Pa. — Marywood University senior Jack Baronski repeated as the Atlantic East Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year, officials announced this week. The six-time defending champions took three major awards and 12 of the 14 all-conference honors. 

Marywood earned the Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Along with assistants Kevin Borrelli, Caitlyn Powell, Meredith Haberfield and Barry Morgan, head coach Cameron Stinchfield led the Pacers to a title in his first season.

Joseph Cardillo captured his second straight Atlantic East Elite 20 Award. It is given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the final site of the championship and finishing in the top two teams. Cardillo boasted a 3.925 GPA in mathematics.

Baronski was the Atlantic East Individual Champion with a 27:37.7 finish. He earned the fourth First Team All-Atlantic East award of his career.

Marywood swept all seven All-Atlantic East First Team awards for the second straight season. 

Cardillo (27:52.4), Bryce Ryder (27:54.7), Thomas Lee (28:03.8), John Russo (28:07.8), Wil Canney (28:09.6) and James Modrovsky (28:14.12) were selected to the First Team in second through seventh places, respectively. 

Marywood picked up five of the seven Second Team All-Conference nods. Raidan Francis was eighth place in 28:24.7. Following him, Jakob Seamans (29:31.6), Joe Taraschuk (29:37.9), Dave Kenney (29:49.1) and AJ Rosenfeld (29:57.6) were 11th through 14th places, respectively. 

Ranked fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, the Pacers have won all six Atlantic East titles, and they have won seven straight conference championships.
