Jones, Rosengrant Earn Player of the Year Honors; Four Pacers Earn All-Conference; Marywood Named Coaching Staff of the Year

Haddonfield, N.J. — Marywood University won three major Atlantic East Conference field hockey awards, officials announced Thursday. Additionally, the Pacers placed four student-athletes on All-Conference teams.

Dariane Jones was selected the Atlantic East Player of the Year. Liv Rosengrant was named as the Atlantic East Defensive Player of the Year. Marywood also brought home Coaching Staff of the Year Honors. 

Brooke Barwick joined Jones and Rosengrant as First Team All-Atlantic East recipients. Whitney Berge was selected to the Second Team All-Atlantic East.
 
Jones was awarded Player of the Year, alongside being named to the First Team for the second consecutive season. The senior started every game for the Pacers this fall, tallying 15 goals and six assists for 36 points. She led the conference during the regular season and playoffs in goals per game (.75), points per game (1.8), and game winning goals (8). The Factoryville, Pa., native also posted the third-most assists per game across the conference with .3. Her 36 points is ninth best in program history, with her 120 career points being third most. With 28 career assists, Jones ties the program record in said field, while landing fourth overall with 46 career goals.

Rosengrant was named the Defensive Player of the Year in her final campaign. She sat atop the conference with six defensive saves on the season, an average of .3 per game, a feat that has her tied-27th in the nation. Anchoring a back line that posted an 11-10 record, ninth best in program history, Rosengrant and co. recorded six shutouts on the season and went undefeated in conference play. Playing a total of 1192 minutes this season, the Dalton, Pa., native remained a constant throughout the season.

Barwick earned her first all-conference honors. Leading the conference in shots, shots on goal, and assists. Having 34 total points, Barwick had 13 goals and a conference-high eight assists. Barwick was a two-time Atlantic East Player of the Week honoree in her sophomore campaign.

Berge earned a spot on the Second Team All-Conference in her second collegiate season. She had one goal and three assists for a total of five points this season. 

Marywood also claimed Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Led by Head Coach Julie Trott, the Pacers posted an 11-9 record, going undefeated in conference play. Trott, in her sixth season, has garnered her third Coaching Staff of the Year award. Trott and assistant coach Kaitlyn Bevans were named NFHCA regional coaching staff of the year last season.
