Men's Swimming Places Fourth at Electric City Invitational

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University men's swimming finished fourth at the Electric City Invitational this weekend. The Pacers had 314 to finish out of five teams.

Sam O'Sullivan took fifth place in the 200 free. O'Sullivan took off 1.67 seconds from his seed time to finish in 1:58.41. He was sixth in both the 100 back (59.19) and 200 back (2:12.82).

Alex Corcoran had a pair of fifth place swims. He swam the 100 breast in 1:06.56. Corcordan touched the wall in 52.13 seconds in the 100 free.

Owen Turner produced a fourth place swim in the 200 breast. Turner chopped eight seconds off his 200 breast seed time for a 2:36.33 finish. He recorded a 2He was also eighth in the 100 breast in 1:09.36.

Alex McCarey had fourth place performances in the 100 and 200 back. McCarey tied for the Pacers' best individual finish in 58.1 seconds. He swam to a 2:09.36 mark in the 200 back. He dropped more than 15 seconds in the 200 IM to finish in 2:15.76.

The Pacers produced a fifth place showing in the 400 medley relay. O'Sullivan, Turn, McCarey and Corcoran used a 32.25-second drop to come in 4:00.92.

Marywood's 200 medley relay of O'Sullivan, Turner, McCarey and Corcoran came in seventh with a time of 1:47.95.

The 200 free relay of O'Sullivan, Dominic Leone, Tanner Osborn and Corcoran logged a seventh place swim at 1:38.43.

The 400 free relay consisting of Osborn, Anthony Ciotti, Turner and Corcoran clocked in at 3:45.2 for eighth place.

Wilkes won the team title with 957 points.
