Men's Swimming Picked Third in Atlantic East Preseason Poll

Haddonfield, N.J. - Marywood University was picked third in the Atlantic East Conference Men's Swimming Championships next weekend. The 2025-26 Atlantic East Conference Men's Swimming will be held on February 12-15, on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Marywood received nine total points, coming in third, with an aim to improve upon last year's fourth place finish with 264 points. The Pacers youth will hope to be their biggest factor, leaning on sophomores Alex Corcoran and Alex McCarey

Prior to the meet, the coaches from all five programs voted on the 2025-26 Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, with Marymount being named the frontrunner, receiving 16 total points and four first place votes. St. Mary's received 13 total points, with one first place vote, earning them second place in the poll. Marywood landed third, with nine points, while Immaculata was fourth with eight points and Gallaudet in fifth, with four points.

Looking to lead the Saints to a fourth AEC title is the 2025 Coaching Staff of the Year, led by Chris Natoli in his fifth season. Last year, Natoli and co. produced seven First Team All-Conference selections. Ryan Faherty, who took home the 200 free last year, is a top three seed in the 100 breast, 200 IM and 400 IM. Noah Popp comes in as the highest seed for the 200 free, 100 back and 200 back, after receiving Athlete of the Week honors once during his freshman campaign this season.

Falling short of the title by 92 points last year, the Seahawks return 2025 Rookie of the Year, Harrison Greenwald. The sophomore has posted the top conference time in the 400 IM, 500 free, and 1650 free. Alongside Greenwald, Daniel Madigan will be one to watch, as he is currently the top seed in the 200 breast, and second in the 100 breast and 200 IM.

Immaculata, after scoring 273 points at the 2025 championships, was selected fourth by the coaches, totaling eight points. Michael DeMattei has posted some of the best times for the Mighty Macs this season and will be joined by Connor Ferguson as ones to watch.

Rounding out the group, with four total points, was Gallaudet. Allen Davis, a sophomore from Florida, and Alex Wilding, a sophomore from New Mexico, appear to be the most powerful force for the Bison this season.

The championship awards ceremony will take place at the conclusion of the meet, Sunday evening, where the following will be recognized: Team Champion, Team Runner-Up, Swimmer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Elite Scholar Athlete Award, and Coaching Staff of the Year.
