Men’s Soccer Selected Ninth in MAC Freedom Coaches’ Preseason Poll

Newtown, Pa.- The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) unveiled the 2026 Men's Soccer MAC Freedom Coaches' Preseason Poll on Tuesday morning, with the Marywood University men's soccer team ranked ninth with 14 points.

The five-time defending MAC Freedom champion Stevens was picked first with 64 points, receiving all eight first-place votes. Lebanon Valley was selected second with 53 points, followed closely by Misericordia with 51.

Arcadia was selected fourth with 44 points, while DeSales and FDU-Florham tied for fifth with 27 points each.

Delaware Valley was picked seventh with 26 points, and King's was slated eighth with 18 points. Marywood rounded out the preseason poll in ninth place.

Marywood finished the 2025 campaign with an 8-9-1 overall record and a 5-2 mark in Atlantic East Conference play, earning the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. The Pacers now embark on their first season as members of the MAC Freedom.

Brian Osborne enters his second season at the helm of the program and returns a strong veteran core led by all-conference honorees Drew Smith, Jack Forbes, Owen Clearwaters, and Jayce Wilson.

Marywood opens the 2026 season on Tuesday, Sept. 1, as they host Penn College at 7 p.m. The Pacers begin MAC Freedom play on Saturday, Oct. 3, traveling to Arcadia for their conference opener.
