Pacers Gear Up for the Home Stretch at Moravian

eBethlehem, Pa. — Senior Hayley Gaines recorded the fifth-best time in school history in her hurdles debut at the Coach P Invitational on Saturday at Moravian University. Gaines was 18th place with a 1:15.45 in her first-career 400 hurdles race.

Lucia Anewalt recorded a pair of personal bests in throwing events. She beat her career mark in the shot put with a distance of 27 feet, 8 3/4 inches (8.45m). Anawalt beat her previous discus best by 5 feet with a measure of 85 feet, 3 inches (25.98m).

Marissa Martin set a personal record by 87-hundredths of a second in the 400. Martin finished 34th with a time of 1:08.31.

Sophia Williams dropped two seconds for a personal best in the 800. Williams was 40th with a 3:20.04.

The women's 4x100 relay of Jocelyn Dames, Gaines, Abby Megotz and Emma Wagner were 11th place in 54.78 seconds.

In the discus, Paige Stryshak eclipsed her discus throw best by 2 feet. She hit a mark of 78 feet, 1 inches (23.8m).

Kozera Reached Finals of 100 Dash

Nolan Kozera reached the 100 dash final, finishing in seventh place. He had a prelim time of 11.02 seconds. Matt Custer dropped four-hundredths of a second for a personal best (11.66) in the 100 dash.

Joseph Cardillo ran a PR in the 1500 to take seventh place. Cardillo clocked in at 4:08.75 for a 3-second drop from his previous best. Thomas O'Keefe also dropped three seconds, finishing with a time of 4:55.36. Matthew Kokinda erased nine seconds to register a 4:58.99 run.

Jakob Seamans improved his 800 PR by nine-tenths of a second. Seaman finished with a time of 2:04.58. Mike Zuzzio dropped under a minute in the 400 for the first time with a 59.89-second finish.

In the javelin, AJ Rosenfeld bested his previous top throw by 10 feet. He hit a distance of 143 feet, 6 inches (43.75m) for 11th place.

Marywood competes at Shippensburg next weekend to conclude its regular season.
