Annemarie Tichy-McCloskey, Downingtown, a 1999 graduate of Marywood University, is one of the most decorated field hockey players in school history. Still the single season and career record holder in most offensive categories, Tichy-McCloskey was a member of the 1998 PAC Championship team and was a member of the runner-up squads in 1995 and 1996.

A First Team all-conference selection in both 1996 and 1998, Tichy-McCloskey was named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Regional All-American during the 1998 season and was a member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad during her 1998-99 senior year. Selected as Marywood University’s senior student-athlete of the year in 1999 and a four-year member for the PAC Academic Honor Roll, she served as team captain from 1996-1998 and earned team Co-MVP honors in 1997 and 1998.

Tichy-McCloskey is the single-season record holder for goals scored with 15 in 1998, assists with nine in 1997 and total points with 37 in both 1997 and 1998. She still holds the career records for each of those categories as well with 48 career goals, 28 career assists and 124 career points.

A Mental Health Therapist with Chester County’s Intermediate Unit’s REACH program since 2004, Tichy-McCloskey is married to Bryan McCloskey. A member of the National Association of Social Workers from 2000-2007, Tichy-McCloskey earned her MSW degree in Social Work from Marywood University in 2000.
