A four-year starter on the softball team, Sue King still holds several Marywood records and is listed among NCAA Division III leaders in career home runs and triples in a season. King hit 374 during her career and helped lead Marywood to the 11th best record in NCAA history during the 1987 season when the Pacers finished 22-2.

King holds Marywood records for home runs in a career (17), home runs in a season (6 in both 1984 and 1985), and runs scored (112). She also contributed 76 runs batted in, 11 doubles, and 12 triples during her four seasons. Her six home runs in 1985 helped Marywood average a national best 0.83 homeruns per game. Marywood posted an overall record of 75-15 during her career.
