Joan Keller MacDerment, Lake Winola, was honored for her tenure as Head Women’s Tennis Coach at Marywood College. MacDerment led the Pacers from 1980-1982, compiling a career coaching record of 32-10-1 for a career winning percentage of .744.

She led the Pacers to conference titles during each year of her coaching career at Marywood. All three of her teams qualified for the Eastern Regional Championships, where they finished second and fourth. In 1982, her team qualified for the AIAW National Tournament, where they finished 20th overall.

In 1983, MacDerment left her post at Marywood to assume a full-time position with Pennsylvania Power and Light (PP&L), where she worked for 14 years. Now retired, Joan and her husband Hugh spend their winters in Florida.
