Scranton resident Rose (Kuchwara) Jacklinski, a former softball standout and 1998 graduate of Marywood University, was a two-sport athlete during her time at Marywood.  While playing both softball and basketball throughout college, Jacklinski excelled on the softball field.  Still the NCAA Division III softball record-holder for consecutive stolen bases (68), Rose’s consecutive base-stealing streak lasted for nearly two years (April 23, 1996-April 16, 1998).

A member of Coach Jack Dabney’s 1995 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Softball Team, Jacklinski remains the Marywood softball record-holder in several categories.  Jacklinski established a single-season program-best with 27 stolen bases in her 1998 senior season and holds career records for runs scored (127), hits (118), triples (18) and stolen bases (102).
A four-year starter for the Pacers’ softball program, Jacklinski served as a team captain during her 1998 senior season and was rewarded as the team’s MVP that same year.  In 1996, her sophomore campaign, Jacklinski was named to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference’s (PAC) All-Conference team as a second-team selection.

Also a three-year starter on Coach Teri Snyder’s women’s basketball team during her time at Marywood, Jacklinski has remained a Pacer at heart since her graduation.  After serving as an admissions counselor for nearly seven years, Jacklinski currently serves as the Assistant Director of Constituency Relations at Marywood.  Jacklinski also serves on Marywood’s Athletic Advisory Board, a position she has held for several years.  Jacklinski is married to Daniel Clement Jacklinski and has a son, Daniel Junior.
