Stacey Muchal ’06 Moran left Marywood as the most decorated female runner in program history. A three-year member of the team (2003-05), Moran (née Muchal) won the PAC Championship in 2004 and was a representative of three consecutive PAC Championship teams from 2003 to 2005. Along with an individual runner-up finish in 2003 and third-place finish in 2005, Moran was a three-time First Team All-Conference honoree, in addition to a pair of team MVP laurels in 2003 and 2004.
A team captain during her senior year, Moran also earned PAC Academic Honor Roll accolades in 2004 and 2005. Her 38th place finish at the NCAA Championships in Colfax, Wisc. stands as the program’s top finisher to date at the national race. Named to the USTFCCCA Mid-East Region First Team in 2003 and 2004, Moran placed 53rd at the 2013 National Champions in Hanover, Ind. Moran’s pair of fifth place performances at NCAA Regionals in both 2003 and 2004 are the program’s top regional finishes to date. Moran holds a school record with 12 Top 50 5K times.
Moran also ranks fourth for most Top 50 6K times in program history with six and currently holds the third fastest 5K time in program history and sixth fastest 6K time.
A 2006 graduate of Marywood with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Moran spent eight years in higher education in high-level administrative positions within academia, including a stint as Director of Admissions at Lackawanna College. Married to Robert Moran with 3-year old daughter Ruby Kathryn while residing in nearby Jermyn, Pa., Moran now splits her time between motherhood and working as a legal assistant for her father-in-law’s successful law practice.
