Lauren Wynne Bickel is a 1996 graduate of Marywood College and was a four-year member of the Pacers’ field hockey team from 1992-1995.  During her career, Bickel was a key member of the back-to back Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championship teams (1992, 1993) and also earned PAC runner-up titles in 1994 and 1995.  After earning Second Team All-Conference honors in her sophomore year (1993), Bickel was named a First Team selection in both 1994 and 1995 to close out her career.

Widely regarded as one of the most dangerous scoring threats on the field during her four years, Bickel set a Marywood record with 16 goals scored during the 1995 season, a record that stands to this day.  She led the Pacers in points in her junior and senior years with 31 and 34, respectively, and led the team in goals scored as a sophomore (9), junior (15) and senior (16).

Bickel was twice selected as a College Field Hockey Coaches Association (CFHCA) North-Atlantic Region All-American, first as a Second Team honoree in 1994 and then as a First Team honoree in 1995.  She participated in the CFHCA’s North-South Senior All-Star game in 1995.  The teams Bickel played on at Marywood never had a losing season and combined for a 42-28-1 record during her four-year career.  She was twice named the team MVP (1994, 1995) and served as team captain in her senior campaign.

Bickel graduated from Marywood with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and worked as a Clinical Research Associate prior to having children.  Married to Chris Bickel, she is currently a stay at home mom with her three boys, Hunter, Brent and Hayden.
